Rotherwick Pond – Volunteers Needed!

Rotherwick Parish Council has been consulting with the Hampshire and IoW Amphibian and Reptile Group (HIWARG) on a management approach for Rotherwick Pond. HIWARG are organising a pond management task on Saturday 16th September, together with Rotherwick Parish Council. In addition to volunteers from HIWARG and members of Basingstoke Loddon Rotary, Rotherwick residents are also invited to help pull out some of the pond vegetation for the benefit of amphibians and also to improve overall aesthetics of the pond. The task is scheduled between 9.30am and 1pm, with a break halfway through. Further details will be available before the event but save the date and prepare your wellies and gardening gloves. This is an opportunity to find out more about your village pond and to ensure it contributes positively to the character of Rotherwick.
